Uptown East / East Village
Across I-75 from the thriving high rise metropolis of Uptown is a residential area called Uptown East/East Village. Starting in 2009 reputable builders such as Alan Kagan (Fuse Modern) began to sense the need for affordable Modern living close to Downtown. Slowly but surely the neighborhood has been transformed into a new construction modern architecture hub with mostly attached units. While lot sizes are minimal most homes have at least some yard space to entertain guests or accommodate a pet.
Most of the housing inventory has been built since 2012, and with builders wanting to maximize profit many of the original large lots in this area now have 2-3-4 attached units. This neighborhood attracts consumers looking for low maintenance and location. Proximity to the hottest areas in Dallas is a main attraction for residents of this neighborhood since it’s located
between the entertainment corridor of Uptown, Deep Ellum, Lower Greenville, and Henderson Avenue.
You will not find high rise living here as there is a 36 foot height restriction throughout so the architecture tends to lend itself to 1-3 stories. Pricing begins in the 400’s and caps out in the mid 700’s.
Perks of location? I-75 is essentially walking distance from the neighborhood as is Henderson Avenue. I-30 is within a 7-10 minute drive.
Additionally, Baylor Hospital and Downtown are within a 5 minute drive.
