North Dallas (North of LBJ)
Built in the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s North Dallas neighborhoods such as Prestonwood, Northwood Hills, Bent Tree, Oakdale, Bellbrook Estates among others have a lot of amazing modern architecture. The public school system is largely Richardson ISD and is a huge attraction for residents desiring a highly rated public school system for grades K-12.
This area tends to be priced more reasonably per foot then any residential neighborhood inside of LBJ which can be a huge draw for those not interested in spending “inside of 635” pricing.
The average price of a contemporary product in North Dallas is in the $700’s with entry in the high 300’s. Lot sizes are reasonably spacious and tend to be on average 1⁄3 an acre. As a side note, many of the homes here were originally build with pools.
Amenities include the city of Addison which has plenty of restaurants and nightlife to choose from, notwithstanding a brand new AMC movie theatre. If shopping is your thing, The Galleria (arguably one of the top 2 shopping destinations in Dallas) is located nearby.
